Storage ottoman cube is ideal seating for daily use or for special occasions due to their compact size, which makes them easy to move and store. The chair can also function as a footrest or side table as an accent piece. Creating your own ottoman allows you to customize the cover of the plywood base with a variety of fabric options and patterns to complement the decoration of any room. The homemade cube can be finished with a decorative border to improve the appearance.
Place the 2-inch by 4-inch stud on a flat surface and measure four lengths of 17 inches. Cut the bolt into four equal pieces with a manual or electric saw. Rub the ends of the pieces cut with sandpaper to soften the rough areas. These are the support legs for the inner part of the ottoman.
Place one of the 17-inch square plywood boards in a flat work area. Measure and mark each 4 1/4 inches on the left side of the board, two inches from the edge. Drill a hole in each of the four marks with a small fragment of an electric drill. This will prevent the wood from spitting when screwing the panels together. Repeat the marking and drilling process with the other three plywood boards.
